Friends With Great Wardrobes

There's celebrity fashion trend emerging, and it doesn't actually involve any celebrities. Just their friends. Remember the great fashion choices made at Coachella festival this year? They were worn by the friends of celebrities, and yesterday Michelle Williams (sporting a new haircut - more on that later) was photographed in New York with a very stylish friend.



This is not to say I don't still love Michelle's style, she's great and looks lovely in her denim shirt. But the look I'm really coveting belongs to her anonymous (Alexa Chung lookalike) friend. I love the combination of the high-waisted shorts, the slightly cropped striped tee and the layered necklace. It's simple but very effective. Celebrity friends are definitely worth keeping an eye on at the moment. Don't you think?

And, of course, the other story is Michelle's bright blonde crop. So far I'm liking the look of it (it's a little Carey Mulligan-esque, no?) and it will be interesting to see how it works on the red carpet.
Michelle is always changing her hairstyle, but has kept it short for quite a while now. My favourite was her little bob with the fringe, but I also loved it long and wavy.
