Shoes of the Season

Shoes became the highlight of the S/S 09 collections back in February. Models falling off their Prada heels were front page news and everyone was copying Vuitton's Spicy sandals. By the time the A/W collections came around feet had had their fifteen minutes of fame and the attention faded. The thigh-high boot is having a moment, but everyone appears to have forgotten about the high heel.
But that doesn't mean there aren't some beautiful pairs waiting to be worn. My joint favourites of the season are Prada's studded Mary-Janes (I'll take them in red and pink, please) and Givenchy's baby-blue numbers. But then I'm also in love with Chloe's feminine cream heels with the bow detailing and the ankle boots and Calvin Klein, Balenciaga and Matthew Williamson.
