Wearing Miu Miu is Exhausting

I’m not just obsessed with Miu Miu collections; I’m obsessed with the ad campaigns too. Miu Miu is the only label that gets away with using celebrities faces all the time – mostly because it’s always someone fabulous.
I would like to know why the models are always lying down though, are Miu Miu garments particularly heavy? Is it just too exhausting to look that amazing?

Would You Dare to Wear… Clogs

I’ve looked at the Chanel S/S 2010 collection on style.com three times, and even now if you asked me to describe it I would just say ‘clogs’. The clothes were completely overshadowed by the fact clogs (shoes that go hand-in-hand with Crocs when it comes to unattractiveness) were on a Paris runway.

clog

I must admit I didn’t fall in love with them at first sight, but I’m surprised that I wasn’t totally disgusted by them. When someone mentions clogs I insanely think ‘gross’ but they could possibly grow on me.

Mary-Kate was spotted wearing a pair of clogs a few weeks ago, which is another promising sign for the chunky-shoe. The Olsen’s are early adapters, they’re always wearing things that are a bit off but within months we’re all working the look. Whether this will happen with clogs too remains to be seen…

Would you wear clogs?
Not in a million years!
Sure, if Mary-Kate says theyre cool then theyre cool.
Only if Karl personally invites me to wear them and star in the Chanel ads

Hit and Miss of the Week: The Burberry Trench

I thought nothing would top Gwyneth Paltrow in a Burberry trench coat this week, she looked amazingly chic. But then Rachel Weisz threw on a pretty Marc Jacobs Resort dress and she's kind of stolen Gywneth's thunder.
On the slightly less perfect end of the spectrum SJP was spotted in a look that just didn't make sense. And then there is Mary-Kate, I have a feeling a lot of people will hate her look but for some reason I quite like it. As always let me know what you think of this weeks selection in the comments section. Hating MK's look or loving it?

Hocus Pocus

I only realised this morning that I’d forgotten to check out Giles Deacon’s S/S collection on style.com. I’m a massive fan of Giles so I can’t believe it skipped my mind.

Love love love the collection. It was less like a fashion show and more like a Halloween party. Spider-print dresses, corsets that look like they belong to Xena the Warrior Princess, comedy-style sunglasses and lots of pumpkin orange. It all sounds pretty disgusting but Giles has a way of making the most bizarre things into quirky fashion statements.

It’s weird and wonderful, and I want it all.

Twitter, the Love Letter of the Future?

I adore Jean Paul Gaultier perfume adverts, before Christmas they're on TV all the time so I now associate them with that warm Christmas-y feeling.
The new campaign for Classique and Le Male by Jean-Paul Gaultier will be out at the end of the month. Until then there's a taster video, which centers around the idea of Twitter Tweets.
I don't really understand the Twitter element but maybe you will.

Fashion and a Kind Soul

Recently I’ve become completely obsessed with ER (I know, I know, I’m like ten years late on this one), I literally cannot stop watching it though. What started out as an innocent crush on John Stamos and has now become a full on fascination with medicine. I’d love to be a doctor but I’m really no good at science, I never have been.

While I can’t save lives I can spread the word about Zoe & Morgan’s collection for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I’m sure you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and in honour of this the jewellery designers have teamed up with My-Wardrobe.com to produce two limited-edition necklaces and a T-shirt to raise money and awareness for the charity.

People are already starting their Christmas shopping, and I think the necklaces would make gorgeous gifts. The gold and silver necklaces both feature a pink sapphire and a cute mask charm. And 20% of every sale will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Just think, you’ll be shopping and gaining good karma at the same time. What more could you ask for? Apart from a hottie like John Stamos, that is…

The Zoe & Morgan collection can be viewed HERE

And thank you for all the get well soon wishes, I'm almost back to normal now.

Sick Note

I'm really not very well (which I hate having to admit) so I don't know if I'm going to post anything for the next few days. Hopefully I will wake up feeling fine tomorrow, but at the moment that looks unlikely.
Before I go back to bed I wanted to post this picture of Leighton Meester outside the Louis Vuitton show. I love her look.

I think she deserves a Vogue cover in 2010. Please Anna...
