The Sex and the City After Party

I wasn't overly keen on any of the looks the SATC ladies wore to last nights NYC premiere, but the after party brought out some interesting dresses. Kristen Davis, who I think was the best dressed at the actual premiere, changed into a a vintage Balmain dress and Sarah Jessica Parker slipped into a lace Elie Saab number.



I feel like SJP could definitely have pulled off a shorter hemline, this dress looks a little too long, but the Nicholas Kirkwood's were a great choice of shoe. They seem to be her favourite pair at the moment - she was spotted wearing them last week too.
And Kristen simply looked beautiful in her sequined Balmain dress. This is the second time Kristen's worn a vintage Balmain piece to an event this month (see her first dress HERE) and I'm becoming very envious of her vintage collection. I can't wait to see what Kristen will wear to the London premiere, she's on a roll at the moment.

Gwyneth's Non-Oscar Moment



She wasn't in LA for the Oscars on Sunday, but when Gwyneth Paltrow took to the red carpet at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Abu Dhabi today (and no, I have no idea what she has to do with this event either) she looked completely Oscar-appropriate.
Honestly, if she had worn this Elie Saab Couture dress on Sunday she would have been high up on my best dressed list, along with Zoe Saldana and Cameron Diaz. She looks radiant in this dress, don't you think?

Grammy Awards Best Dressed

As I said last week I never look forward to the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Along with all MTV awards it is merely a place for beautiful (or in many occasions rather ugly) clothes to die. Looking through the red carpet pictures this morning I was as unimpressed as ever; but also was nicely surprised to see there were two ladies doing the red carpet justice.
Both Lady Gaga and Rihanna walked the red carpet in couture (Couture? at the Grammys? Yes, really) with Gaga in custom made Armani Prive and RiRi in Elie Saab.


I think I actually preferred Rihanna in the Viktor & Rolf dress she wore to the pre-party. Who do you think looked the best?

And congrats to Beyonce, who set the record, winning six Grammys. I wasn't into her red carpet dress but loved the Versace she performed in.

Best Dressed: SAG Awards


I'm not going to do a long post about the SAG's, as they've been and gone now. But I wanted to give somebody the title of 'Best Dressed', and the obvious winner is Marion Cotillard in Elie Saab.
She's already worn Dior to the Globes, but she'll likely wear another piece for the Oscars. Or will she? What label do you think she'll wear for the Academy Awards this year? I'm hoping for a bit of JPG.
